Comb the Deserts Baby, Comb that Shit

Sup guys, Kool & the Gang's back from the sands of New Mexico. And of course, instead of getting a good night's sleep before a long ass flight, I did some last minute partying and caught...the cold. So I packed my bags and headed out west. Overall, the trip was miserable. It was a nice stew of a couple slices of pain and few sprinkles of drama and confusion (girl problems) but I tried to make a special playlist but got too lazy but there were some special stuff that got me groovin.

Wilco - Slowly becoming one of my favorite bands of all time, I got addicted to the Live in Chicago album, favoring "At Least That's What You Said," with a crazy ass guitar solo and the plain beauty of "Ashes of American Flags" and "Misunderstood" where the last chants of "NOTHIN!" gets you on your feet.

Bruce Springsteen - The Boss is always welcome, even at funerals. Don't matter what the occasion is, the Boss always kicks my ass. But the Live in New York City album stings your ears with greatness.

And now... take a time warp with me and I don't know if you guys dig this kind of stuff, but if you are really stressed and dealin with girl shit, just give it a try, trust me, I've got the remedy. The man behind sunglasses, Roy Orbison.

Roy Oribison - I recently bought his live concert album called "Black and White Night," in a Santa Fe Borders which features an amazing cast of creatures, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, Tom Waits and some major credit to unknown guitarist Glenn D. Hardin (who surprisingly kicks ass.) They have these jams in some songs that blows your socks off with Hardin and Bruce. ("Oh, Pretty Woman" is, to quote goldsoundz, "CREEEEEAMDREAM) And of course, Roy sings the lonely tunes with his operatic voice and made it such a treasure to hear while driving the mountains and plains to Albuquerque.

Wilco - Live in Chicago
-Misunderstood
-At Least That's What You Said
-Ashes of American Flags

Bruce Springsteen - Live in New York City
-My Love Will Not Let You Down
-Prove It All Night
-Murder Incorporated
-Out in the Street

Roy Orbison - Black and White Night
-Oh, Pretty Woman
-Ooby Dooby
-Only the Lonely
-Go, Go, Go (Down the Line)
